I am so glad you recommended watching the interview with Etgar Keret. It is truly an interesting interview and I was impressed throughout with his humanity as well as his sense of humor. While sharing stories about life with his family, I found great wisdom and meaning with his father's idea that one should not make decisions based on externals but on what one believes inside oneself. Also, as a means of creating hope and a way of surviving, these words, "The moment you imagine something, it's an option." And his mother's advice, as well, (I paraphrase) When everything is stable lean on whatever you want...When it's not, lean on yourself.
His story about writing the text for the back cover of his first book is funny, but what he wrote is priceless, and his anecdote about writing the story of a crocodile for the wife of a man trapped in Gaza is just remarkable.
I have subscribed to his stack and look forward to discovering more about the man and his work. Thank you, Chen!
Charming with a touch of what’s-going-to-happen-next and a surprising twist at the end. Thank you, Chen!
Thank you for reading, Paul! It means a lot to me.
My pleasure, Chen. I will try out the video you suggested. It sounds interesting.

I'm happy you loved the interview, Paul! and the author
Yes, I found it incredibly helpful, beoynd other things, and the ideas you've mentioned..yes, these especially.
it was really like switching on the lights. I don't know for how long it'll hold, but at least I know where to switch them...
It's strange, how some people manage to lighten all despite being whenever and however themselves.
Now I will absolutely look for myself! Thank you both for sharing!
“It’s a good thing I have stories, which make me feel as if she’s still with me”
