It shows, Chen. And add if I may, you should follow the thread of those apologies into the obscure corners and recesses they lead, because there, I believe, lies relief and liberty.
No, they don't:) Not per my experience, at least. And I've a vast one.
But maybe I should just make my peace with a lot of how I am, I mean when I know what it is, because it kinda fluctuates.
Thank you, dear Mahdi 🩵💫
Oh, listen. a bit unrelated, but. Do you remember "The Master and Margarita"?
I read it before we studied it at school-we were already allowed to because Perestrojka-and we had this pretty amazing teacher, so we read tons of what was not studied or even plainly prohibited or never printed before.
in short. we were given topics for the obligatory essays after-the-book.
And one of them was a question. I didn't pick it as I was too far from any answer.
And now I might be a bit closer, but I still don't know for sure. Still thinking. There are many possible answers of course...
The question was :
"Why do they say in the end of the book about the Master that "'He has not earned light, he has earned rest"?
So. Somehow, I know, I've earned liberty. But I'm not sure I've earned relief.
And I also don't know why.
I wrote a poem about it once.
But if you read...the book I mean..what do you think? About the Master I mean
I’m not sure if I’m the ablest person to talk about such elusive work, and no less that rife, fateful sentence. I do, however, believe that Sartre’s got a point when he says every human relationship is that of a master and a slave, and it’ll remain as is until the slave rises up against the domination and then, lo, becomes the master themselves. That said, there is a part of me that tends to extrapolate that to our relationship with ideas. While relief remains a longing, a thing to be achieved, it dominates every aspect of our lives. It is only when we let go of its pursuit, of masticating the possibility of its accomplishment, that we may become the masters and achieve what relief is. In a sense, relief, liberty, and the like will only be achieved obliquely, and a direct chase will only result, if not every step of the way then eventually, in despair.
You are a real poet with exciting, different, interesting themes in your lyrical "I." For the second time, I noticed that we open each other's posts at the same time.
You come alive in every verse, Chen, this “eternal spin around a star, never coming near but never going far.”

Perhaps the promised light of Heaven is not the reward the Master seeks, but rest, relief from his torments?
yes, that'd be exactly what I thought. that he gets what he seeks the most, actually
another thought was: because he got tired in the first place

Oh thank you dear Larisa ❤️
I truly don't know what to say except -I wish I'd met you much earlier, for all the reasons in the world.
But just meeting is already a gift, whenever
Oh, my dear, don't exaggerate. And I believe in your poetry.
