There was a historical anecdote about some french singer (Charles Aznavour?) asking his Soviet fans to ask him anything in the concert back in 40-50’s. So after a long pause the only question asked was “ quelle heure est il?”
what a great question-I was thinking about it myself a lot, meaning I still don't know, as much as I think
yet. English is very often "white poetry"-Russian can be too, and English can be more traditional form of course-but that's the first thing that comes to mind.
Also. Russian poetry, I've much better idea about, even though of course there is plenty I haven't read. English-translations excluded, I'm just starting.
Thank you for this, Chen. I kept reading it for days not knowing how to respond and today out of the blue a new poem came to me--through you. So I have to say thank you once more. I will post it tomorrow. I'd love to include your poem as well, would that be OK with you?
..huge thank you for the restack, @Dave pearen-I'm very humbled
Poems from past memories brought forward or from now remembered months you forgot and found?
you mean-which ones I prefer/choose, or..?
..since I didn't understand, yet continued to think-I'm afraid it'll be both
Never question your abilities Miss Chen. You’re awesome. 💖
Thank you for sharing your poetry! 🙏😁
Thank you...I don't know what to say..you're too kind💕
You are very welcome Chen.
Hearts speak volumes. 💕

))))))
What’s the main difference between Russian and English (meaning languages) poetry for you?

Silly question, but I'll throw it anyway. What tastes like summer to you, dear Chen?
not silly at all
but I see colors first, so requires some thinking
maybe cherries. they sold cherries (sweet ones usually) next to the beach.
Now it's the whole documentary..wow, good question. Can't stop at just cherries...
Take your time, I am not going anywhere!
leaves, and sand, and days with no end,
and blue, and green, and flowers between,
and letters in books, and wonder in art
and stupid conviction new day will start

Of course-it's very humbling actually, as I think mine is a bad poem.
Thank you, dear Fotini 🤍💫
I won't try to convince that it is not a bad poem. But let me say that I love your bad poem, so badly :)
Thank you for the restack, dear @Fotini Masika💕💫
