There is a lot of wisdom in part 1 of this, Chen, and I was especially taken with this advice, which I regard as insightful, and something to remember:

"Don’t be envious of anyone. You’ve no idea what fight they’re fighting, fought, or will fight later, maybe even later today."

"pockets full of that rye. But also, keep the rye mostly in the pockets."

Ergot one hell of a St Vitus dance. I do believe write from the heart.

Say what you will. There's a clap of thunder, for a few seconds, rumbling over the hills. Ligtnig is bright. Shows you showers and gold. There's a delete button, pushed by powers that be. It's the cloud you mst worry about. How long does anything stay if you have the magic key? Voices, mot too loud, someone may be listening. Let's keep this secret. Between you and me. Merci beaucoup, Buku buttercup.

Keys get lost. Stay? Why care? Words get stale like leftovers. Move on. Get a different lock. It will get broken into. Nothing's sacred. Some one steals your heart. I left mine many places, but like a lost dog managed to find a way home to beat a new path and drums along the Mohawk Trail of many tears gone bye.

I am curious, where did all those maxims come from? As always, new or old, a poem is very emotional and interesting.

Thank you, dear Larisa

the maxims are the voices in my head, some from my parents and family-early childhood etc, some, other places. Some, me myself probably. I don't know. Constant noise. It's just a sample of it. Pretty tiresome. I'm mostly sticking by them anyway, but.

The maxims you wrote look so accomplished that I thought they were from some old source. So, please, there is no "but," smart girl.

-find whatever holds you together and play with it if you can, gently. Let it be your “Thou”.

-or else it’ll play with you harshly

Love the wisdom in this post, Chen!

Voices on the street and then the familiar of the street itself - a lot to channel here and deftly handled.

As I was cooking this past hour - my mother in laws recipe for a convoluted meal my husband does miss - I had your poet running through my head, wondering even now what is (among others) the question we seek the answer to above all, when we’re not too busy living life as it happens.. for myself I tend to think ‘why are we here’ - any given moment, or in every past moment we can recall —

thank you Chen for the meditation.. I will have, of course, no answer sufficient to satisfy my brain, except maybe just to wait for ‘when the moment comes’

Words to live by, mostly. I try but forget then remember and try again. Lovely poem, Chen. Did I ever tell you I love your writing? I do. I just did.

you most probably did but I most probably went the way of " ніхто мене не любить, ніхто не приголубить", I really hate this way and don't understand why I go there all the time like there are no other places much more interesting to be in

so yes, thank you, big thank you for saying it again, dear Paul
